Hamden police arrested a man Thursday night accused of breaking into a woman’s apartment while she showered.
The victim, 43, called police she heard someone breaking into her home on Town Walk Drive around 7:30 p.m. while she was in the shower.
When officers arrived, the suspect jumped from a second story stairwell and took off into the woods.
Cops with a police dog tracked the man into the woods and found him hiding behind several bushes.
They charged Jeffry Sager 34, of Hamden, with criminal attempt to commit burglary and criminal attempt to commit home invasion.
He was being held on $50,000 bond.
